Question:
BC/BS/Blue Choice has exclusion,however, I've had 4 cancer surgeries

I've had four cancer surgeries and my oncologist has said if the weight doesn't come off I'll be looking at another. Because of my obesity problem this area is a breeding ground for abnormal cells. My policy has an exclusion regarding morbid obesity "regardless of diagnosis". Does anyone have any suggestions. My ob/gyn said to have the oncologist write a letter. Has anyone had any experience with the OKlahoma BC/BS/Blue Choice?    — Carol B. (posted on October 28, 2001)

Hi Carol, My husband's BC/BS Choice policy had an exclusion also and after ONE letter to them I got approved. E-mail me and I will send you a copy of the letter that I sent to them. It is a different state (MA) but I hope it will help you. (e-mail [email protected])
