I've had very little bread or corn, but haven't had a problem with either. Always made sure the bread was toasted and chewed the devil out of the corn the few times I've had it.

I tried corn and it's not that easy this early on (4 weeks), but I did have sugar free bread (nature's own), toasted with some ham and cheese and I did fine. I got full fast though. Good Luck 2 U

I'm 8 months post and I've eaten EVERYTHING and have never had a problem! I eat bread, toasted or not and corn.

I had my Open RNY on May 8th and ate alot of corn on the cob this summer with no problems whatsoever. However at first I could eat some bread, now the bread is getting more difficult with time. I try to avoid it, as it often makes me throw up. Sometimes I can eat half a dinner roll, but even that can give problems. About the only thing I've lost the ability to eat or drink is bread and coffee so I feel fortunate. But I do miss bread and butter at times. Garrrr..

I've had both bread and corn with now problems although I don't tend to eat much of either of them. Bread I usualy have as toast with peanut butter or melted cheese on it. Every once in a while I'll have an open faced sandwich with once slice of bread. I don't have much room in my pouch so I need to reserve as much of it as possible for protein. Corn on the cob used to be one of my favorite foods. I'll bet over the entire summer I didn't even have one whole ear.

I can eat corn, but only in small amounts. About 1/4 of a corn cob is my maximum & often I have to stop at less than that. Still, I enjoy it even if it's only a few bites. Bread usually works better for me if it's toasted, although I can often eat a one-slice of bread sandwich, just not always. I'm 18 months post surgery.
