Question:
Medicaid - Does medicaid pay for plastic surgery?
I have ny medicaid, and i was wondering what post-op plastic surgery does medicaid cover if any? (of course only if medically necessary)i have heard of insurances paying for Abdominoplasty, breast lifts, getting rid of batwings and thighs. i dont know what the limits are of medicaid, is it harder to get approved for these surgeries with them? — tracy G. The answer is yes. Carolina Medicaid covers CPT code43846 "Gastric
restrictive procedure, with gastric bypass for morbid obesity; with short
limb(less than 100 cm) Roux-en-Y gastroenterostomy." This procedure
needs prior approval from your primary physician.
