Question:
Any suggestions on a great multi-vitamin?
My doctor recommended Flintstones with iron, but they are sooooo nasty. I'd like to find a mul-vitamin with iron that I can tolerate at this stage--I am 10 day post-op. Thanks for any suggestions. Kay — Kay J. (posted on August 20, 2001)

I know that I used plain Flintstones with Iron and could tolerate them
fine, but when I bought Flintstones COMPLETE (because they had a little
more iron), they were so chalky I have to gag them down. It doesn't seem
like 15mg of iron should make so much difference . . . Of course I bought
the huge bottle, too. If you are using Flintstones Complete, you might try
the regular iron ones. Just don't try the off-brands :( They are soooo
nasty.

I was in a GNC store and they had "Sundown Pokemon Complete" that
was on sale cheap, plus buy one get one free.
It has 12 vitamins & 7 Minerals. This is what it says about the iron:
Iron (as Ferrous sulfate)18 mg.
I believe this is now the wrong kind of iron for us, but I figure any iron
is better than none. In any case at least I am getting some vitimins which
is better than none I took for the first 2.5 months post op.

Vita4life! They are tasteless, no odor, dissolve in water in ONE minute.
They have everything in one vitamin tables or capsule. I use tablets. I
had iron deficiency....anemia...for 8 mos until I started taking them.
Last bloodwork showed normal iron and everything else. What a joyful day
that was. They were created by a bariatric surgeon just for us. go to
www.vit4life.net to get them.

Try Seasilver. It is the answer for me. It is a liquid vitamin, all
natural supplement, tastes like cranberry juice and gives me everything I
need. Check out my website at www.myseasilver.com/conniet and let me know
what you think. Good luck.
