From what I understand the staples that are used are titanium and should
not interfer with any an MRI and any other type of x-rays done.

I have been suffering from severe back pain that began a few weeks before
surgery on May 22nd. It did not improve after surgery and when I saw the
Dr. on June 17th, he ordered an MRI. I went over to have it done that
afternoon and when they found out I had surgery they said I had to wait 2
months from the day of surgery to have the MRI. So I was rescheduled and
had my MRI on July 23rd. By the way, I have bulging discs in the lumbar
area and am having an epidural cortisone injection this afternoon. I will
be so happy to finally get some pain relief.

I had two MRI's since my RNY and there is no problem.
