Question:
What can I do?
I had my WLS on 6/2/00 and have lost 60 pounds so far. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to lose weight in my abdomen, thighs and hips. They really look funny compared to my legs and upper torso. Any suggestions?? — Sandy S. (posted on September 15, 2000)

I had surgery 4/25/00 and have lost 86 pounds. It came off funny at first
for me too (face, chest, arms, etc.) but eventually it started coming off
the "harder" areas. My hips, thighs, hiney and tummy area are
all disappearing now. I think if you give it time, you will even out, plus
working out will help (even walking will greatly help those areas). Good
luck! And congrats on the wonderful weight loss.

I had my surgery April 28,2000. I have now lost 82 lbs and went from size
22/24 to size 10/12, depanding on the fit. I am still heavy in the stomach
area. I need exercises to help. I asked my doctor about the TT surgery to
see if I could have it this year, as my insirance deductible is now paid,
and will start again in Jan. His reply was that they would not do this
until I am 1 yr post-op. I think this is too long to wait for me, as I
should hit my goal in another 2 months or so.
