Question:
Increased MS relapses or symptoms post-op?

Currently I am pre-op, awaiting insurance approval. I've had MS for three years, and while I do have the relapsing/ remitting form, my relapses are pretty bad, and come about every 8 - 10 months. I'm very interested in hearing about the progress of anyone with MS who is post-op; if you experienced increased exacerbations, noticed any new symptoms, etc. My main reason for wanting the surgery in the first place IS because of MS, finding it harder to get around with the extra weight. I have multiple sclerosis and have noticed a slight increase in exacerbations since the surgery, but nothing significant. I certainly wouldn't let it dissuade me from getting the surgery. Good luck to you and keep in touch.
