Question:
I have a hernia above my horizontal RNY incision scar

I am 5 months post-op from open RNY. The hernia has grown to baseball size in less than two weeks. What worries me is that it's in the same spot as my new stomach pouch, right above midway across the scar. Also, since I am numb in a large area below the scar, is it possible that I might not feel if something goes radically wrong? I think I"m developing another hernia just to the left of where the scar ends, but a bit below it.    — [Anonymous] (posted on May 8, 2000)
