Question:
Post-op/failed - Need help obtaining insurance for re-do

I am 11 years post op VBG and have regained the weight and more. I am currently covered by a basic plan with BC Prudent Buyer. I don't go to the doctor a lot, but I do have two PCPs, who I am quite sure will give me a referral if I press them. I have already been given a consult appointment but I am almost sure my insurance won't cover this procedure, and I want to find other insurance that will cover me at the weight I am presently (close to 300). Will I be declined by all? This is a pre-existing condition, for sure. Specific referrals are appreciated, too.    — [Anonymous] (posted on October 15, 1999)
