Question:
How do you feel about this site?

I found this site one nite by accident. Lets say it was an awesome accidednt. I have been a memeber on here since June 2003. This site has helped me while I was pre-op and when I did finally get to have my surgery in Dec 2003 and i had lots of commplications. This board was awesome. I still go and read it and it still makes me cry everytime i read it. Just for the fact that there are so many caring people out there. We all know what eachother is going threw. I love the recipes on here. But most of all I love the people on here cuz we all are very caring and loving and we understand each others. Hats off to this site. Hi Lynda, I am in total agreement with you. This website has been a god send for me. I have spend countless hours on here, both pre-op and now post-op. I give the website address to anyone I know even thinking about having the surgery. I love browsing the before and after photos, the Q&A postings, my local message board, and reading other members profiles. Everyone associated with this website is so very caring, understand and special. I'm so happy I found it.

My family doctor gave me the info on this site and God Bless her, I think I have been on it every day since. My surgery was 9/25/2002 and I have lost far more weight than I ever beleived possible and have gained something more valuable than words can ever say, My health and an enormous group of fantastic wonderful people as a support system through one of the biggest changes in my life.

Most of the time, this site is wonderful. But about 10% of the time, this site makes my *ss crave stovewood because of the ignorance and prejudices of both the posters and the moderators.

WOW it sure has been a while since I have last posted on this site but thought I would try and get back into the swing of things on here and contribute my thoughts...This site is awesome, I came to this site back in 2000 or 2001 and started doing my research on gastric bypass. I had my gastric bypass in Dec 2001. I have to say that almost all of my information came from here and how wonderful it was to have this as a guide. I have made so many online and offline friends from here and to this day still keep in contact with most of them. Thank you Obesityhelp and wls friends for being here!!

I think that this website is great the people are nice and caring and its actually the next thing closer to you doc when you have med problems and the closest you will be to a friend when you need someone to talk to I learn about something different everytime I come to the q&a board again I think that it is GREAT

I LOVE THIS WEB SITE TOO. IF IT WAS NOT FOR THIS WEB SITE I MIGHT NOT HAVE FOUND AFFORDABLE DR.S DOING WLS. I AM GOING TO BE A SELF PAY PATIENT BECAUSE INURANCE EXCLUDES ALL TREATMENT FOR MORBID OBESITY EVEN IF MEDICALLY NESSASARY. I HAVE FOUND A DR. IN MEXICO THAT SOUNDS REAL GREAT AND ONE IN WASHINGTON. THIS WEB SITE IS HELPING ME TO FOUND OUT INFO ON EACH DR. AND I CAN THAN CHOOSE WHO I WILL GO TOO. SOME TIME THIS SUMMER I WILL HAVE SURGERY.
