Question:
Are there any bariatric support groups wash dc hospitals like GWU?

I do not mind traveling, but I would prefer to stay within the area. Fredrick, MD is a little far for me. I live accross the street from P.G. County (Temple Hills, Hillcrest Heights area), if there are any support groups in those area.    — Regina J. (posted on October 3, 2004)

Hi Regina, GWU does have a support group but I do not know when they meet. I will be having surgery 11/4 at the hospital and have an appointment with my surgeon 10/29. Hopefully I can get some more info for you then. Teresa

There is one that meets close to Fairfax Hospital the fourth Thursday of the month. Check the Inova web site for more info. The only problem is that I think that's on the opposite side of the beltway for you.
