Hi Angela....I had a reduction/lift (no implants) 14 months ago, and had it done outpatient. The pain was not bad at all (for me anyway-maybe a 3?) and it was more like an ache from bruising. My surgery was 3 hours, and as with any kind of PS, total recovery can take up to a year. I started feeling better after I could drive again, which was at about 3 weeks postop (I have a standard shift, so it was difficult to drive). I had my mother help with washing my hair and such, anything that required me to raise my arms. Get prepared by having essential items at waist height so you won't have to reach for them. Wear a loose shirt that zips or buttons in the front, pull on pants, and slip on shoes to the hospital so that's what you have to wear home. You don't want to have to put anything over your head. There's a great website - www.breasthealthonline.org that you can go to for information concern any kind of breast-related issues - augmentation, reduction, reconstruction, etc. It's a wonderful place, and the women are great, so please check it out! Good luck with you upcoming surgery, you're going to feel so much better! Denise 316/158

I'm 4 months postop breast lift (no implants) and brachioplasty. These procedures done together as yours will be in an outpatient surgicenter and going home that same evening were a 'piece of cake' in comparison to my lower body lift (7 months ago) and the current recovery I'm going through for my inner thigh lift (12 days ago). By far, the breast and arm recovery was the best with only discomfort and no real pain. That said, I didn't have the implants and can't speak to the pain of that recovery. Pain or not, the results are so worth it. You won't be disappointed.

I had breasts & arms done too, pain ws about a 7:10 scale. Lipo was much more painful. I had TT and thighs done at another time and wasn't a painful as breasts & arms IMO. Everyone's different. Love my PS results..my profile tells more. Diane N www.WieghtlossSurgery.ws
