Question:
This isnt a question just a fyi thing...Sugar-free foods
I have found a ton of sugar free foods at GNC... S-F marshmallows, s-f and calorie free salad dressing for salads, s-f and calorie free veggie dip, the lists go on. Check it out. If you get a gold plus card from them for $5.00/year you get 20% discount on the first 7 days of each month... — Lisa J. (posted on November 20, 2003)

Yes, they have a lot of the Atkins products also. One word of caution
though, some of these items may contain sugar alcohols which some posties
are sensitive to.

Just don't forget...sugar free does not mean calorie free. I know one man
in our support group that has started to regain some of his lost weight,
and his excuse is "It's sugar free!", but read those labels.
Since I was diagnosed as diabetic a few years ago, I have used s/f foods,
but they are always the 'treat' or 'dessert' aspect of the meal and never a
snack or a regular portion of my daily food/fuel intake.

Why start indulging in foods that can trigger old addictive behaviors?

I use the Oh-So-Lo rolls from GNC. I toast them and melt a piece of cheese
on top. Only 3.3g of carbs, under 200 calories and I think 13g of protein.
It helps deal with not eating regular bread items and with the cheese it
is a breakfast with almost 20g of protein. I always do a mental calorie
counr during the day to be sure I stay around 1200 or less and consider the
roll as part of that.
