Question:
Has anyone experienced itching when exercising?
Sometimes when I exercise my legs will start itching. This happened pre-op as well. It doesn't happen every time. I think it might be connected to my water intake. Anyone else experience this?? Anyone know why?? Thanks! — Kimberly J. (posted on September 28, 2003)

Hi! No I have not experienced that but my hands swell when I walk. I now
wear wrist sweat bands and hold my arms bent at the elbow now when I walk.
That seems to help some. I think it might be our blood gets flowing while
exercising and that is our bodies way of reacting. I don't know for sure
though. Best of luck to you.

I have not begun exercising yet post-op, but I had the same problem
sometimes pre-op and even when I was a young girl and woman. I was always
told by lay persons that it was the circulation expanding the blood
vessels. Heck, I don't even know it that is true or not, but my legs would
itch and I would scratch and they would get red from the scratching. Then
it would go away when I would rest.

Your circulation is speeding up and your muscles are getting more oxygen! I
know what you guys mean by that..and while some people dont like..I tend to
have a sick fascination with it! LOL
