Question:
Has anyone had the LapBand or Bypass surgery with documented liver disease.

Have cirrhosis of the liver due to fatty liver and have not had any sucess finding a surgeon to do either procedure.    — Julianna M. (posted on September 27, 2003)

Hi, If I were you I would keep looking, I was afraid I couldn't have WLS. I have Hepatitis C and Chirosis. I had my consult and asked the surgeon and he had no problem, he specializes with the liver. Any how, he told me he would get up close and examine my liver and do all his on biopsy and tests, to know where we stand at this moment. I was so relieved. WLS is Tues. Patricia 9-30-03
