I am at a plateau and am increasing my protein from 60gms a day to 80gms and lowering my carbs, will that help? — wildchild (posted on July 30, 2003)

I have been a firm believer in very high protein intake; when I hit a
plateau, I try to increase my protein to at least 60-80 grams a day and
drastically cut back on carbs (to no more than 15 grams/day). After about
3 days, I am back to losing. This system has seemed to work for me as I
have dropped over 240 pounds in 9 1/2 months and am already at my goal for
clothing size (but still about 8 pounds away from my weight goal).
Good luck!
