if you have medicaid it will pay for the surgery. Has to be medically
ness...but from what you say you would qualify. Call the medicaid office
and ask for the CARE line phone number, call them and they will tell you
how to get started. If not try vocational rehabilitation. Im going through
them their stipulation is your obesity has to affect your ability to
work...which it does...try those two dont give up hope GOOD LUCK AND GOD
BLESS!!

Colleen, try state resources too. I didn't check what state you're in, but
I know that Texas has a rehab commission that will help pay. Good luck!

I can tell you from personal experience that medicaid (atleast in
Wisconsin) will pay for this surgery. My surgery date is June 25 and I was
preapproved through medicaid. It has to be medically necessary and you have
to show that it is. Call the medicaid people and ask them about it. Hope
this helps.

Hi, I didn't see you say what state you live in, but, I live in Missouri
and am on medicaid and they covered my surgery> So, You need to check
with them again cuz aslong as you have co-morbities and it is considered
medically necessary then I don't see why they wouldn't cover it! Good Luck
to You!
