Question:
I am 5 weeks post op, and my ankles are swelling

I am on my feet alot... but my Dr. said that he wanted me walking alot. I try not to sit very much... but my ankles are swelling ALOT....is this normal???? PLease let me know! Thank you!!!!    — rebecca J. (posted on March 12, 2003)

Hi Rebecca, A close friend of mine noticed increased swelling in her ankles several months after WLS and her Dr. told her to increase her protein and she noticed much improvement when she did.
