Help! Has any early post-op gotten a hernia from

I've tried twice to ask this, but the questions haven't made it to the board, so I'll try to ask this delicately. I am worried that I'll be too worried about a hernia after the operation to be fully "intimate with my husband".    — Beth S. (posted on December 31, 2002)

No you will not get a hernia from making Love or having great SEX relax have a good time and after losing weight having Sex is so much easier you don't want them to hurry because your legs or back hurt now lifting those legs is easy right above your head..lol switching positions is wonderful I am loving SEX go have fun quit worrying and if you ever do get a hernia it will be from lifting something and it is a gaurenteed Tummy Tuck insurance paid so relax and hope you get one Kathy

Yes it can happen. I got a hernia from coughing in my sleep. Saw surgeon last week and I actually have up to 4 hernias that are going to b repaired at the end of the month with my TT. (waiting on insurance approval)I dont know about you but when I am "with" hubby I sure am alot more active than coughing in my sleep. *grin* So it happens, but IF you do get a hernia keep in mind it sure helps with PS later.
