Question:
Am I on track losing the weight I should??
I am one day short of 4 weeks post-op Lap RNY and have only lost 29lbs. Is this normal? I was hoping I could find someone that is about the same measurements as I was to see how they are doing. I started out at 5'6" and 279lbs. Thanks, — Cheryl_J (posted on May 27, 2002)

Hi, I stared at 271, (the day I come home from the hospital) and at 2weeks
I was down t 248.5 a loss of 22.5 lbs. Then at 6 weeks I was down to 234,
a total loss of 37 lbs. I also am 5'6. I am now almost 8 months out, and I
have lost 93+ lbs. I am not for sure exactly how much I have not weighed
myself in awhile. Good luck and god bless. Open Rny, Oct 4, 2001 -93lbs

It sounds to me like you're on track! I'm about 5 1/2 months out and I've
lost 98 pounds. I've hit some plateaus where I don't lose for 2 or 3
weeks, then it starts again. Don't get discouraged!

Sounds pretty darn good to me! I was down 31 pounds at four weeks, but
started out 35 pounds heavier than you at your height. FYI...you may find
a bit of a slow down at some point in the next few weeks. DON'T GET
DISCOURAGED if that happens. From week four to week eight, I only lost
another 11 pounds, but for the past six, I've been averaging a loss of 5
pounds/week. 14.5 weeks, down 72 pounds. You are doing fine, good luck to
you for continued success!!
