Question:
Where and how do you get this book or any book on Bariatric surgery especially DS
I am having DS surgery and would like to read up on this surgery and get some tips on how prepare for the surgery and what to do after the surgery for the best healing and healthful way to live. — Cynthia S. (posted on December 3, 2001)

Hi, Cindy... I had lap Ds on January 25, 2001. I don't know of any books
per se... but there is a great website that is full of information (and
long term studies, etc.): www.duodenalswitch.com (you may have visited
this site but I wanted to mention it). There are also many online support
groups and post-ops with experience who can help you out with surgery
preparation, etc. The largest of these is [email protected]
If there are WLS books out there, I highly doubt they adequately cover (or
even mention?) the DS surgery, so if you find one, let me know! All the
best, (lap ds with gallbladder removal, January 25, 2001, 10 months post-op
and still feelin' fabu, preop: 307 lbs/bmi 45, now: 298 lbs/size sweet
16)
