Question:
Nata Chew vitamins?
Just wondering, I found out there is a chewable pre natal vitamin out there called Nata-Chew. I was given some to try, and they are great, and very high in many of the vitamins that we need as post ops, and the extra folic acid has stopped most of my hair loss (did I mention they had extra folic acid in them?). I was wondering if anyone has been suggested to use these, and if not I wanted to see if maybe we could all get together and mention it to our surgeons to see what they think about prescribing them to post ops. Good luck and Blessings all! [email protected] — Lisa H. (posted on September 5, 2001)

Hi Lisa, I have been on the Natachew vitamins since 2 weeks after my
surgery. I 1st tried liquid Centrum, was that ever the nastiest tasting
stuff to be created. The chewable vitamins are great. They taste pretty
good, and make your fingernails grow like crazy. Plus I havent lost any
hair. I am 4 months post-op and am hoping that I won't lose any at all. So
Yes, I agree that the Natachew are very good and more people should ask
their Dr about them. I even suggested them to a girl in my office who is
pregnant. She didnt like the taste of the vitamins her OB-GYN gave her.

My doctor did tell me to take over the counter prenatal vitamins because
they have all of the extras we need but I've never seen the chewable ones.
Where did you get them?

What a great suggestion! I'm going to ask my surgeon about them.
[Especially since I don't like the taste of Flintstones Chewables].

I have been on them for a week now, and what a difference! I take one
natachew in the morning, one flintstone in the evening and 1000 mg of b 12.
Plus I get the shots once a month. I have so much more energy now! You
can get a prescription for them from you doctor, and I suggest them highly
to post ops!

I'm another believer in Nutrinate (the generic name for Natachew). My
surgeon prescribed them when I was discharged from the hospital post-op and
I liked them so much (they remind me of an old, pre-op candy fave
SweetTarts!!) that I asked her for refills on the prescription when I went
for my two week follow up. I am only 1 month post-op today but I am already
back at work and have enough energy to make it through the day. I take one
Nutrinate in the morning and one at night. They are a Godsend!!!
