Question:
Has anyone had heart palpitations and still had surgery?

Unexplained heart palpatations was one of my co-morbidies
for surgery. There is a great deal of heart disease on
both sides of my family. Of course the cardiologist
said there was nothing wrong, it was perfectly okay. The
sleep apnea doctor said the sleep apneas was probably
destroying my heart from lack of oxygen. Anyway, the heart
palpatations have now totally gone, along with the sleep
apnea.

I had heart palpitations pre op. My ECG came out normal but I'm sure that
the heart palpitations came from the excess burden my weight was putting on
my heart. I, too, no longer have heart palpitations since surgery. They
didn't cause any problem as far as getting approval or the "go
ahead" to have the surgery by the surgeon.
