Question:
pain under right rib cage.

Had a hernia repaired over a month ago now I've been getting alot of pain on my right side under myrib cage. I should say the pain is more in the middle of my rib cage. any help would be great.    — sttar (posted on February 18, 2005)

Have you had your gall bladder removed? It sounds to me like gall bladder. That is where I had the pain for mine then it traveled around my right side and into the middle of my back.

Sounds like gallbladder to me also. That's where I had my pains.

Sounds like typical gallbladder. Had mine out 30 years ago, before WLS, but that's a pain you don't forget. You should really call your MD and have it checked out. Always better to be safe than sorry. If it is gallbladder it is a very simple procedure to remove it -- if not, then it should definitely be investigated. You've gone this far trying to better your life, don't stop now or ignore any symptoms!
