Jeannie, there are alot of people who have eaten babyfood post-op. I personally did not, I didnd't like the taste. But even more so you have to be careful b/c much of the babyfood has a great deal of sugar which can cause dumping for you post-op. So check the labels before you eat anything. As a very new post-op, anything over 5-10 grams is way too much. Goodluck to you!

You could eat baby food, though for the life of me I can't imagine why you'd want to. One taste will tell you why the little nippers spit that dreck out. If you're that concerned about consistency, use your blender or food processor.

I did. I used Ms Dash, and seasoned it... it was fine for me... I only used it for like work and stuff... it was easy for me... I eventually bought a stick blender, which to me worked quite well. I enjoyed whatever my family ate...

My surgeon said no baby food. The fruits are too high in sugar. The meats and veggies, he felt, just delayed the lessons of having to finely chew your food. Use real food, cut it into tiny little pieces and chew the daylights out of it. It accomplishes the same thing as baby food. Best of Luck!

I bought 4-5 small jars of baby food to have on hand for convenience after surgery. I opened one, tried it and through it away. BLECHHH! Stick with real food, pureed. Baby food is terrible. It is very bland and tasteless. Don't waste the money on it.

I was just in the hospital for 10 days following a car accident. I requested that any pills that could be crushed would be. I was taking a lot of meds each day. They crushed them in baby applesauce. Since I've been home, I tried regular applesauce but they did not go down as smoothly so I returned to baby food applesauce for pill crushing and swallowing purposes. It helps a lot.
