Question:
I need help with support garments.
I have read about the support hose or panties, and I have bought those. My problem is the part that hangs down sometimes is not "controled" and bulges appear around the bottom part of the panties. So it looks like I have two smaller mounds instead of one big one. What are some ideas for " controling All of the bulge?" I have lost 130 in 10 months. Looking for more. — Janie H. vanity Fair makes a lightweight support panty that is wonderful. It has no
lines at all and the crotch and the entire panty is made of the same
stretchable material. I got mine at a Dillards Dept. store but anyplace
that sells vanity fair lingerie will have them.

Janie,
I have the exact same problem and have never really found anything
that was comfortable. Wal-Mart carries some support panties up to a 5X. I
also found Flexees brand sold at better department stores go to a 5 or 6X.
My ultimate solution to "control ALL of the bulge" is
reconstructive surgery to have it all removed. After losing 156lbs, I
cannot tuck myself into anything and be comfortable. I'm scheduled for
surgery 1/24/03.

I love it when there's a question that I have the perfect answer for!!!!!
I had this problem too and what works best and is least obvious beneath
your clothing is bike shorts. They're made of very thin spandex and are
longer than a panty girlde so there's no bulging out the leg openings etc.
They're actually quite comfortable as well. Now that I've had
reconstructive surgery I wear the flexees one piece garmets that a previous
poster mentioned and they are fabulous. I'm still searching for an upper
body garmet that will provide good support without all the "bra
lines" from bulges in the back. Ahhhhh......the things we must endure
in our quest for normalcy. :) Best wishes!

I forgot to mention that if you choose to try bike shorts you will need to
purchase them a bit smaller than your regular size. This will give you the
support you're looking for.

This is the poster again. Thank you for your advice and ideas. I will be
looking around for the vanity fair and the bike shorts. I can't wait for
the future of the reconstruction time.
