Question:
I have been feeling GREAT, no problems at all...

However, this week I have been feeling "off", not really sick, just "off"....not sure what it is...I have a funny "metal" taste in my mouth.....Anyone have any suggestions?    — Sharon H. (posted on July 14, 2002)

Sharon, I don't know what kinds of medicines you might be taking, but some can cause a metallic taste (ie: Flagyl). How much Iron are you taking? It seems possible that too much Iron could do that, after all, Iron is a metallic element. I would ask the doctor asap, or maybe someone else will post with the answer you are looking for. I have only had this experience with the above named antibiotic. Good Luck!!!

I get that metal taste in my mouth when I eat too many Tums. During pregnancy, I O'd on Tums, and that taste is horrible!
