Melissa, I'm also 8 months out from surgery. I need to lose about another
15 pounds to get to my goal weight. I'm having my tummy tuck and arms done
next month at the same time. It will take about 4 hours and I will be an
outpatient. My plastic surgeon is going to do my arms in 2 stages. He
will do liposuction on the arms in this first stage. Then in 3 months he
will pull the excess skin up under my armpit. I won't have the huge scar
that runs all the way from your elbow to under the armpit. I'll only have
a scar under the armpit. In the 2nd stage surgery, I might also have him
do a thigh lift at the same time as he finishes up my arms.

I have begun researching about the plastic surgery and I know that the doc
I talked to will do the breasts and tummy simultaneously, but no more than
that as it is pretty major stuff. I also see some references to where docs
prefer that we wait until 12-18 months post-op or within 20 pounds of our
goal weights. I'm sure each doc is different as well. I wish you well in
your journey!
