Question:
How can I pursuade my surgeon?
Hi everyone. I went and met with my Surgeon in October 2001. He wants me to lose 10% of my weight prior to surgery. And he wanted me to see a nutritionist. I wasnt able to get in to see the nutrionistist until 4 months later, and gained 6 lbs in the meantime. Now I have lost 12! So I am halfway there now. But I hoping by the time I go back to the nutritionist on July 10th, I would have lost enough weight for her to give the call to the Dr. to get things scheduled. My dilemma is....what if I HAVENT lost enought to schedule it? I made an appointment with him anyway for the day after I see the nutritionist and maybe I can pursuade him. I plan on telling him I have done what he has asked, and I am not at the 10%, but seeing that I have tried and done it in a safe way will be good enough. Anyone have any suggestions on how to make this go smoothly and get things moving? Thanks! — Shavonne P. (posted on June 28, 2002)

Take soom fluid pills the night before and very early morning. That will
help some. But drink soon as you are weighed as dehydration is not good.
