Question:
I have recently noticed 3 or 4 new polyps (skin flaps?) on my neck and chest.

What causes this? Are they a co-morb or symptom of something else? It is kinda scary to have bumps of skin just appear. Does anyone know if they can just be removed?    — Laurie V. (posted on June 20, 2002)

If you're talking about skin TAGS, yes a dermatologist or even your PCP can remove them. They are common in overweight people. Hugs, Joy

Are they little mole-like things that kinda flap lose? Skin tags are easily removed. I think I had 1000 removed while I was full sized. I have only grown ONE since my sugery (1994). My doc said there was a THEORY that skin tags were a good indicator of sleep apnea. All I knew is I had BAD apnea and had literally thousands of tags. Now I have none of the above.
