Well I would imagine the alert jewelry will help in case you are in an
accident... there are different procedures that a med tech would have to
use beause of your pouch.... they cant tube you the sam eway without going
right threw your pouch... I will have surgery soon and am already looking
for the right jewelry... I think the anklet will work best... so as to not
interfere with your jewlery you already wear... But I think its a very
important thing to have on you at all times.. Ya just never know what could
happen to ya.

Hi Donna
My sister, Carolyn, was told my Dr. Stickler that one of his patients was
in a car accident and needed an ng tube because of internal bleeding.
Luckily, she was able to tell the ER people that she had a pouch or they
could have punctured her pouch inserting the tube. I wear my bracelet all
the time. It instructs medical personnel that I have had rny and if ng
tube is inserted to use scope and not to insert blindly. Very important I
think! I have to admit that I don't wear it 100% of the time but I do wear
it a lot. I have heard of a site that sells very attractive ones that are
beaded. Good luck, Donna! You are doing great!
