Question:
Do your protein shakes have to be the kind you mix with milk?

Absolutely not! I'd never add milk to them! I did this to LOSE wt, so I
never add sugar (milk) to protein supplements. You can use water or sugar
free juice type liquids.

Most shakes that I know of are to be mixed with water. Some post-ops have
trouble with dairy, so I guess this is a good thing. Read the labels, and
the directions will tell you how to prepare it properly.

I mix all mine w/water - I don't like the ones w/milk. I found THE BEST -
taste like chocolate ice cream treat - protein shake. It's good - if you
like chocolate and mocha. 1/2 cup ice chips, 1/2 cup water, as much
protein mix as you want (I use NRG and shoot for about 30 gms in my morning
shake), 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 heaping tablespoons of non-fat,
no-sugar, decaffeinated International Coffee - mocha flavored (but they
have others)and throw it into the blender until it comes out like the
consistency of a Wendy's Frosty. It's yummy - especially on those warm
summer days. :) Good luck w/yours.
