Question:
very sensitive skin around incision - why?

I'm 3 weeks out and the skin surrounding the scar is very sensitive.Only about 2 inches on the right side of the scar hurts, but 5 inches out from the scar on the left side is really "ouchie".Just lightly brushing it with fingertips is painful.Anyone else?    — Stephanie H. If it is just the skin and not internal, I had the same thing. My Dr. said that it's the nerves connecting again. It was numb for awhile after the hurting of it was gone, and now I'll be 4 months out on the 8th and it doesn't feel like that anymore. Good luck. 65 lbs gone now.
