Question:
Why am I spitting up bubbles after eating or drinking?
This just started yesterday even though I am 2 weeks post op.I accidentally swallowed too big a sip of water, which made me throw up everything for the first time.Immediately afterward, I began to feel that my throat was just full of "foam".I kept spitting it out but theres just more where that came from. Now I seem to get that effect when I eat or drink anything, no matter how little. All of a sudden, even small sips of water make me feel too full and spit up bubbles.I am very thirsty, but can't drink enough water because there are too many bubbles.Where are they coming from?Do they go away? — Stephanie H. It is possible that you have a stricture. I had one start at 2 1/2 weeks
and I was foaming and spitting when I ate anything. That was at first.
Then I was unable to tolerate drinking. I would also foam and spit, then
throw up. If this continues and/or gets worse, I recommend that you
contact your surgeon. It gets pretty miserable and is easily fixed.

Hello. Congratulations on this HUGH step to a new better life. I had a
problem with that too. My problem was that I was sucking in air when I
sipped my fluids. Also...DO NOT USE A STRAW. That makes it worse.
