I am by no means an expert, but first things first is you ned to get your
OB/GYN in touch with your surgeon so that they can discuss nutrition for
you and the baby. Your surgeon will guide your OB on your special
circumstances. There are many WLS patients who have found themselves in
your situation, and have been fine, both themselves and the baby!
Congratualtions and good luck!

Our support group has a bunch of beautiful kids concieved right after WLS.
Congrats you are so blessed. You will need close following and adquate
nutrition but will be fine. Our surgeon says the futher from the first 3
months of fas loss phase the better it is. But he recommends waiting a
year.

Congratulations on your wonderful blessing! I had this discussion with my
surgeon and my ob/byn pre-op and theey both said the same thing, the fetus
will get nutrition before you will, the baby will be fine it is the mother
who may have deficienies. Your OB should give you a special diet to follow
and also talk with your surgeon, My surgeon was funny and said that one of
the side effects of WLS is getting pregnant, but that your pregnancy will
probably be much healthier now that you weigh less. Good Luck and God
Bless.

Congratulations! I also would like to encourage you to check out the Yahoo!
group OSSG-breastfeeding. Many formerly fat women who had trouble
breastfeeding their first babies find that breastfeeding is much easier
after losing a lot of weight. This has to do with overall hormone levels in
the body. Good luck with your pregnancy! I'm sure it will go well. :-)
