Question:
does anyone eat raisen bran or other bran and what type of friut do u eat

I haven't eaten raisin bran, but I have eaten raisins with no problem. As
for other fruits, so far I've eaten peaches, apples, oranges and pears,
also without any problems.

I have an excellent recipe for raisin bran muffins that I make with
Splenda...I have one for breakfast every morning! I haven't had any
problems with raisins...a small handful at a time, too many will give me a
slight "dumpy" feeling. I haven't run into a fruit yet that has
given me a problem, but as always anything in moderation seems to be ok.

I LOVE raisin bran. I did find out though that it has a lot of sugar (20
grams per cup, if I remember correctly). I eat a cup anyway, when I want
something sweet tasting, but lower in calories. I would love to have the
raisin bran muffin with splenda recipe!

BEWARE the Raisin Bran - they vary a *LOT* in sugar content. I had been
eating about a half serving a few times a week from months 2-6 - then I
bought Post RB with 20 g of sugar instead of my usual brand (that had like
12). It was the worst I have dumped ever (almost 9 months out), and the
only time since about week 8. I didn't read the box, I figured it couldn't
be much different, I poured a little more than usual, it got soggier
faster, so I eat a little quicker - I estimate I got about 23 g's of sugar
in 15 minutes, I can only handle 12 or so. I haven't eaten any RB since.
ANyway, yes, eat it, read the label. I dont eat a lot of fruit anymore
cause the sugar bothers me (Though some people will tell you you cannot
dump on fruit, not true for me). WHen I eat fruit, it is something I can
have a little of, grapes, strawberries, not apples/oranges/pears, cause I
can't eat the whole thing. Watermelon is good, I ate a lot of that early
postop.

I haven't eaten raisin bran (don't care for raisins), but I have eaten bran
flakes. I have eaten all types of fruits: apples, bananas, pears,
oranges, plums, nectarines, mangos, papaya, etc. No problem with any of
these.
