Question:
i never realized it could be my gallbladder i have had some of all the symptoms

i have had the symptoms of gallstones but i never realized that is what it was till i visited a website about gallbladders here is the thing my letter to the insurance has already been sent should i see a doc to make sure or let this surgeon diagnose it or would my insurance accept it better from my pcp???    — blank first name B. Mica... I would check with your PCP for a deffinate diagnosis, and then if you have the gallstones, or even if you don't.. you surgeon may opt to take your gallbladdar out during surgery.. It seems to be an average (not common or uncommon) practice...

You should find out what is done at the pre-op screening. One of my pre-op tests is to look fro gallstones. I have read that many others also have this as part of their pre-op. If that is the case for you, you won't need to go crazy trying to get it diagnosed on your own. i am sure that if you mention to your surgeon that you think you have symptoms of gallstones, he will make sure this is screened prior to surgery. ALSO - I have met people who have surgeons who remove gallbladders from all of their patients during the surgery. Even if you are in the preliminary stages of doing this, if you have picked your surgeon you can phone his office and ask whether this test is standard during pre-op testing.
