Question:
Does anyone know of a good Lap RNY Dr. in Omaha Ne?

I am considering having the surgery done. I want to do a Lap. I have had Lap done before and the recovery time was minimal. I have two little children to handle after surgery and need simple recovery, baring complications. Hi Laurie. While I don't live in Nebraska, I did a little research on this site. I went to the "find peers" page and then checked surgery types and surgeons for patients in Omaha. I found several people who have had Lap surgery (DS and RNY) by Dr. Ranjan Sudan in Omaha. His number is 402-559-9640. For some reason he is not listed on the surgeon's page for Nebraska. However, if you type an "S" at the bottom of the page with the map of the US (on the find a doc page), he is llsted. If you click on his name, you will get a listing of insurance companies that have paid for surgery by him. Next, you will see a section of patient comments and links to their profiles. Maybe you could e-mail them and ask your specific questions. From reading the comments, he sounds wonderful and experienced. Hope this helps.

We have an OSSG support group in Yahoo. Many of the members have had their surgery in Omaha. I believe there is also another groups just for Nebraska surgery folks. Go to www.yahoo.com and look up "OSSG-IOWA-NEBRASKA" under the groups. Good luck!
