Question:
My surgery date is set and I dont have approval yet???$$$$???

My surgery date has been set for 4/16 with Dr. Vierra, although my insurance authorized the consult with him they have denied me previously for RNY by another surgeon due to "exclusion" in our particular policy. This is so weird I hate to get my hopes up just to be let down again. I am a nurse and I am working as a health services nurse because I have terrible pain in my right foot/plantar fascitis if I spend 4+ hours on my feet. I missed several days each quarter in my nursing program because of my GERD and go to bed very early now, because I know I will be up later in the night with acid reflux- then if you take the pepto along with the cimetidine for more than two nights in a row the hemorrhoids get very painful. It seems like a vicious cycle and I cant take those pills anymore that make me all jittery, how can those insurance people be so krass and deny the opportunity to live a full life again.
