Question:
Can a stricture come back in less than 2 weeks???
I had a stricture that was dialated 2 weeks ago. I am having a hard time eating and drinking water again. Could this be another stricture, after being dialated only 2 weeks ago. It is the same feeling as before. I had my surgery 8 weeks ago today. I am down 50 pounds and walk 3 miles every single day. Thanks for your help asap. — Kathy R. (posted on August 18, 2003)

Hi, yes I am 2 years post op developed an ulcer from meds I was taking and
have had 4 strictures. Each of them 10 to 12 days apart. Please feel free
to email me if you have other questions. Just make sure you are being
scoped by a Dr. your surgeon recommends. Someone who has experience
scoping gastric bypass patients. Take care and don't be too alarmed it can
take sometimes quite a few times to keep it open.
