Does Everyone Need Cardiac Clearance?

I am a RN and I can't think of any procedure I have ever seen that requires
general anesthesia that you don't need cardiac clearance for. At least that
has been my experience.

Wait, let me say this again, I meant major surgeries, not minor things that
can be done outpatient or like simple oral surgery. Sorry, I didn't say it
right the first time. Even for most of the minor things I know that there
is at least an EKG done pre-op and if there is any abnormalities then there
would probably be an investigation and clearence before the procedure. Hope
that helps.
