My husband works for USF Dugan as a driver. The insurance company is First Health Network. I have already been pre-certed without even meeting my surgeon. I go for my first consult on Wednesday. There's only 2 surgeons in Memphis who do this surgery. You might want go to "find a surgeon" & click on the names. It has some of the insurance plans who have approved the surgery. The doctors are Cowan & Alston. If you are thinking of switching jobs, you can ask the human resources department first who they have their health insurance coverage is with & go from there. Oh & I forgot. The coverage started on the first day of the month after he had worked 30 days. He was hired on October 24th & insurance started on December 1st.

I had no problem getting my WLS approved with the Blue Cross PPO plan offered to State of Tennessee employees.
