Question:
has anyone ever vomited up blood?
Not much blood, but a little. What test were performed on you and what were the results? What did you endure to find out what was wrong? — [Anonymous] (posted on August 16, 2001)

I have not, but PLEASE go to the doctor! Even if it turns out to be
nothing, better safe than sorry!

Heck get to the dr.. if you vomited some who is to say thats all their was.
Blood is a liquid and will process through you similar to water. Get
help. This isn't something to even chance. Why go through the surgery and
everything to get a better/healthier life and then ? something like this on
here? It kills me.. I worry when stuff comes up on this board like this
and the average person would think.. DUH.. ask your dr... you need help. I
hope it all works out.

One of the complications of this surgery is an ulcer forming where the
stomach opening is attached to the intestine. If an ulcer anywhere becomes
bad enough it will bleed. This condition is very serious. Get to a doctor
immediately.

PLEASE! Go see a doctor immediately! I vomited blood also. A little at
first, and then eventually in two days I lost over half my blood and had to
have several transfusions. I developed an ulcer by one of my connections
and a blood vessel was bleeding through. I spent two weeks in ICU and
another week in a regular room. I don't mean to scare you in case you are
not having the same problem, but you should definately have a doctor check
you out. It certainly can't hurt.

Just because one is posting anonymously doesn't mean one can be so unkind.
This person is looking for a little reassurance, not a putdown. Please be
careful! What we love about this site is the support we give one another. I
have spent too many years of my life being judged by others because of my
weight, I don't want to experience it or see it aimed at others here.
Please ignore the thoughtless post written to make you feel stupid, and I
hope you are well soon.
