I am 10 weeks post op and this started happening to me at 8 weeks!! I
thought I was just weird, and had no idea what it could be. It is great to
know I am not alone, althought the pain is really sharp, and I wouldn't
wish it on anyone. I get the exact same thing though, right under my left
breast. I am interested to know what is there.

Hi! I had this pain at about 2 1/2 weeks post op. It was bad enough that
I called my doctor on a Saturday night, who directed me to the emergency
room. They did a CT scan on my chest to rule out a blood clot. All was
normal, so it was diagnosed as chest wall pain. The ER doctor said that it
could be caused by a number of things--including just turning the wrong way
too quickly. They sent me home with some pain medicine. It went away in a
couple of days. If you aren't very far out from your surgery, you might
want to contact your doctor just to be sure you don't have a blood
clot--although it will probably be just a precautionary measure. Good
luck!!

If you had RNY surgery, you will be interested in knowing that just under
the left breast is the location of your new pouch. It could be some pouch
pain -- perhaps you ate too much? I don't know for sure.

It could be your gallbladder. When I was having gallbladder attacks I
would get a constant ache under my left breast. It would come and go but I
would have it more after eating something. Check with your doctor, if you
didn't have your gallbladder removed when you had surgery, it could be your
gallbladder.
