Dear Kat, Both OJ and Slimfast--especially the Slimfast--are sugary enough to give you dumping syndrome. No wonder you are nauseated! Slimfast has almost zero nutrition, too. Switch to Met Rx, or no-sugar added instant breakfast, or a healthfood store protein drink, or check out the "vitalady" site for mail order drinks. Try V-8 original (NOT the "Splash"), or Lactaid milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. Eat slowly and chew well. Concentrate on protein, vegetables, and avoid fruits and commercial sugary drinks. Hope this helps. Jesse

Try Chocolate Soy milk - it tastes just like chocolate slim fast only alittle thinner. Very good over ice. The chocolate comes from carob.

Slimfast, OJ & Boost? You might want to check the sugar content of these drinks & it will surprise you. I'd think it'd make you very lethargic. They provide almost no nutrition that post-RNY can utilitze and that enormous amount of sugar is damaging. It's kinda like saying that you feel bad because you can have nothing but 8 Snickers a day. However, I realize these products have been recommended as healthy, rather than as weight gainers. There are many other choices that might make you feel better without that heavy, thick feeling. V8, s/f popsicles, s/f jello, hot cereals, very low sugar yogurts, even a baked potato, smashed up til almost mashed. Lots of things that will set gently without all that sugar.

If that OJ is orange juice stop immediately. Its highly acid and tough on your new tummy. Besides juices have little nutrition but lots of calories that can slow your loss.

I feel full all the time too. And yes it does hurt. I can eat a good amount of soup, but when it comes to cottage cheese of anything thicker, I can only eat 2-3 teaspoons and I am full. I try to stop before it hurts. GNC has a protein powder (for women) that is 0 sugar, <1gram fat, 27g of protein. It is good with milk, lactaid or yogart.
