Question:
Double Chin removal?
I have one of those bloated, round faces, with a double chin. How do I get the loose skin ie. double chin removed? Anyone has done anything like that before? — Zubee D. (posted on June 19, 2001)

I certainly know what you mean and I have noticed a lot of
"after" pictures where the person holds there head unnaturally
raised up, in that position I was so aware of, knowing that the camera is
going to record those draping extra chins. Well it was the second thing to
go (after my brachioplasty (arms) and mastopexy (breast reduction). It's
called a neck lift and is and can be done as a variation of a face lift. I
didn't need the whole thing yet, but my friend did the neck and entire face
lift last month after losing 135 lbs. It didn't hurt a bit -- just
numbness after surgery. Go for it!

I am in my fifties and I know when I loose this weight I will go for the
whole face lift. I have had a double chin and it is going to be the first
thing gone. as much as I hate my belly, faces are the first thing people
look at and what I have to see in the mirror each day. The belly will be
second and flabby thighs third. Hopefully exercise will help but I don't
have much lasticity in my skin, Good luck to you, it seems like some of
the younger folks do not need as much reconstructive work as the older
ones. Kathy
