According to the internet magazine for obesity at 7 years 25% are morbidly
obese again and at the 10 its even worse.
With my poor health I need a treatment now for diabetes. My surgeon says
that in 5 to 10 years a drug cure thats safe and effective will be
available for obesity.
To me the unfortunate weight regain shows just how hard our bodies want to
be obese. Thats really sad:(

My Mother-in-law had her surgery ten years ago and she is still tiny! She
looks better than ever and she weighed close to 350lbs when she had hers!

My sister met someone yesterday that had WLS surgery (not sure which kind)
in 1974. He has kept all of his weight off and feels great! No problems,
no regrets.

When I had my initial consultation my surgeon explained that some people
manage to work around the surgery. Such as drinking soda to the point of
where they don't dump anymore. Why anyone would consciously sabotage their
surgery goes beyond me, I'm 2 years post-op and I have yet run into anyone
who has had the surgery and gained all their weight back. My nail girl
(had the surgery before me) has gained weight but her co-workers tell me
she eats all the time (grazing) and she has a good tolerance to sugar and
doesn't "dump" to easily so she also eats candy. I am too
paranoid about that and panic if the scale goes up 4-5lbs and usually it
only does once a month!
