Don't panic. If you are not overeating then just stay true to course and
this too shall pass. I have had several plateaus where I would not lose
for weeks. It is very frustrating and it fills you full of self doubt but
it always passes. Just stay off the scale if it drives you nuts. You know
you are following the program so there is nothing to worry about. Logic
should tell you that if you are not overeating, then your body will lose
that weight. Sometimes the scale doesn't move for a long time because your
body is trying to catch up with the loss in inches. So be patient, put a
towel over the scale and relax. You are doing just fine.

How far out are you from surgery? Or, how close to goal? I am within maybe
15 pounds of goal weight and am stuck big time. Previously though,
throughout my losing the weight, I had 3 to 4 week long plateaus, during
which I was losing inches. So, don't despair, you'll probably drop in a
couple of days.

More water, protein and exercise break it for me everytime.

Don't sweat it! I had a 3-week plateau at just 3 weeks post-op, then a 6
week one a few weeks later, then a 4-week one. And I am only 13.5 weeks
post-op--you do the math. But every last time, when it finally ended, I
lost enough wieght to get up to speed, and at 13 weeks have lost about 60
lbs--right on target. It seems that all of us lose in uneven patterns with
"stall-out places" (at weights we once held in the past,
especially...I have marked these former weights on my scales just to
remind/warn/comfort myself.). Some of us have really dramatic,
unbelievably long plateaus, but if we are doing the protein/water/exercise
thing, it will eventually--and suddenly--get moving again, and we drop
enough weight to make up for lost time in a very short period. I have
lost as much as 12 lbs. in 3 days after the 6-week plateau! In fact, that
is now my establshed pattern--no steady weight loss at ALL--just plateau,
followed by rapid shrinking, then a week later another extended
plateau...Hang in there!---Jesse, the plateau QUEEN

I've just come off my longest plataue. Almost 2 years. I played around with
4lbs. Wouldn't gain-wouldn't lose. Finally one day I all of sudden dropped
5 lbs and have been slowly dropping again. I changed my eating habits. I'm
not eating more or less than what I had been...just different. Try some new
foods?

I hit the first "plateau" after I had lost 30 pounds. After the
first few months I was only losing one week out of every month. It was
weird, but the weight did come off. I am now running between 125 and 130
(size 6-8) depending on the time of the month. I started at 250. (size
28-30) Everybody has their own pattern. Just hang in there, Good Luck
