Question:
Has anyone experienced
At 4 weeks post op I have continued to have my thighs go numb when I lie on my side. Sometimes I feel it when I sit, but mostly as I lie down. It seems to be somewhat better, but is still a problem Can anyone give me some feedback? I will see my Dr. this week for one month check and will speak to him about it then. — Margaret R. Hi Margaret,
I am interested in the responses to your post because I had the same thing
happen on my right side. It stopped about one week ago (im 5 weeks postop
on 2/28)I plan to ask my doctor at my six week checkup.

I am wondering if you had an epidural. Sometimes numbness can be caused by
those. Try doing some knees to chest exercises lying on back to stretch
the sciatica nerve out. I had those symptoms after a good weight loss a
few years back.

I am 7 weeks post-op (RNY) and I had the same thing in my right thigh. It
was very annoying and uncomfortable. Eventually it did go away, I didn't
notice when though. I have no idea what caused it but I am sure it had
something to do with the surgery.
