Question:
Who here would use an ObesityHelp.com bumper sticker if any were available?
It's been brought to my attention that some people might like ObesityHelp.com bumper stickers. Any feedback on that topic? — ericklein (posted on December 5, 2000)

I would deffinately like a bumper sticker or car tag or anything mentioning
this website. That is the most wonderful idea i've heard yet. I also love
the ideas of T-shirts and buisness cards. Anything to advertise this
wonderful site. Vicki

I like the idea but would personally prefer the static cling type for the
window. Shelley

I like the idea but I would prefer, as mentioned before, a clear-type
sticker for the window...Honk, Honk! P.S. When will the T-shirts be
available?

I love the idea of a clear window clinger, but bumper stickers are too hard
to remove.

A static cling. Can we please resolve the tee-shirts before moving on to
anything else? Thanks.

As with the t-shirts, I would NOT wear nor display anything on my body or
car that has the word "obesity" on it! Yuck! But, I would gladly
pass out a business card with the website address.

I would definitely, but I would also prefer a window clingy thingy (smile!)

Sure I would (I like the window clingy thing idea too). But I would also
like a T-shirt when they are available. Thanks !!

I wouldn't display a bumper sticker, not only for the sticky reasons, but
because it wouldn't really give me the chance to tell my story. I like the
one-on-one relationship of a T-shirt or business card better. Who is going
to stop you in your car to ask about obesityhelp.com? Worse, it could set
you up for some road rage or harrassment. I recently started a new job,
and because I'm only about 1/2 way through my weight loss(although no
longer MO..yippee!), and know a few people who can benefit by WLS, I've
decided to let the grapevine work in my favor. I've told two thin people
about my WLS (funny how they say they could never imagine me at 280!), and
I am hoping it will filter back to those who need it. Hmm...gossip a good
thing??? Another trick that I discovered accidently was having
obesityhelp.com up on my screen at work when one of my co-workers came to
work on my computer. He hasn't asked me anything yet, but I'm hoping he
will eventually, or when I have the chance to establish more camraderie,
perhaps I'll approach him.

I too, like a previous poster, would not want to wear on my body or stick
something on my car that said "obesity" anything. Especially
once I get thin - - I don't know that people would "get it"
However, a card to hand out to those that might be interested in how I lost
weight might be okay.

I would probably not display a sticker but I would gladly wear a T-shirt or
drink from a mug that advertised the site.

I would rather have a 32 oz. water container that says something like
"Former Fat Chick ... thanks Obesity.com!"
or "Big Loser...thanks Obesity.com!"

I like the window clingy idea too. Something Like a hand waving good bye to
Obesity and hello to FREEDOOM.. I am also liking the bumper sticker idea
but I would buy 10 shirts before I would buy bumper stickers. My car is not
as visable as I am walking into a bulding with a fresh Obesiyhelp.com
T-shirt.

I like the t-shirt and water glass/mug ideas, but probably wouldn't put
anything on my car. Another idea -- how about iron-on decal versions of
the t-shirt logos? These could go on ANY item of clothing and shouldn't be
any more complicated than the shirts to offer (maybe less so).

I dont put ANY bumper stickers on my car , but a window cling thing I
would.

I don't apply bumper stickers to my car, however, I would definitely use a
window cling application type thing.

I like the idea of window clings, business cards and t-shirts. As for the
business card idea, I was at the mall tonight ans there were a few people I
would have liked to help with one.

I would prefer, as mentioned before, a clear-type sticker for the
window...or a business type card, that can be passed on to those that are
interested.

I used to be involved in politics . A bumper sticker on a single car was
worth about $500.00 in free advertising. I think it is an excellent way to
bring attention to a "cure" for obesity as well as possible
revenue to this website. But as the previous poster said perhaps the window
cling should be offered as well , since many people don't like to use an
actual bumper sticker. Personally , I would offer both.
